Using your own trailer will save you money on the
transport cost but full responsibility of
any damage or mishaps that may occur as a
result of your trailer not being roadworthy
is entirely yours.
Be sure to inspect your trailer
thoroughly, paying close attention that all bolts are tight and
there are no weak areas in the trailer. Be certain that bearings
on all wheels are properly greased and seals are intact. Check
the tread of the tires and air pressure for optimum safety and
change any tires that fall below standard.
Check the lighting system on your
trailer to see that the lights and wires are in good working condition.
Wooden boats should be transported in their own custom cradle
that is made to spread the boat's weight properly.
If transporting with our boat
transporter we will discuss with you any specific
details that we need you to comply with. We will also explain
how we load and unload your boat. Our company has boat transporters
that will transport
motorboats up to 38' overall length with a beam
up to 11'. We also transport
sailboats to 33' long, 11' wide and 5' draft. Make
sure you provide us with accurate information that is critical
to properly transport your boat. We will need to know the following
three measurements: OAL = Over All Length; OAW = Over All Width;
and OAH = Over All Height as well as draft on sail boats. You
need to measure your boat even if you have the manufacturing information
from the owner's manual.
Our boat transporters are insured
custom built
and constantly maintained to provide the safest, most secure and
most dependable transport for your boat to its destination. You
can transport your boat on our company's boat transporter or use
your own trailer, so let us know which option will best
suit your boat transport needs.
If you have any questions about our
trailer, please do not hesitate to give us a call: 352-553-8637.
